The Czech Republic, also known as Czechia, is located in the heart of Central Europe and is regarded as one of the most beautiful places in Europe. The city centre, with its enchanting panorama of Prague Castle, which is the largest castle complex in the world, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Families with children can enjoy a walk to Petřín Gardens, a visit to the mirror maze and the observation tower known as Prague’s Eiffel Tower. For rest and relaxation, we recommend to visit Divoká Šárka nature reserve, which will enchant you with its nature, rock cliffs and picturesque river. In the summer months, you can cool off yourself in the natural swimming pool Šárka, which, thanks to its location, is usually not very crowded. Next to the pool, there is nice a playground for children. Another place not to be missed by families with children is the ZOO at the Baroque Troja Castle.
Apart from Prague, however, the Czech Republic offers many other towns, including Kutná Hora, Český Krumlov, Třebíč, Třeboň, Hluboká nad Vltavou, Karlovy Vary, Františkovy and Mariánské Lázně. If you like sports acitivities, you can go to the Krkonoše Mountains, Šumava or Beskydy. Everywhere you will find breathtaking nature reserves with often untouched nature.
