When I´m looking for a hotel, I have in my mind the children’s play areas, the heated pool for the kids and the children’s food offerings, especially at breakfast. I read the comments and look at the photos directly on Google, where I can usually find out everything I need to know. Since my son has been sleeping with me like a toddler, I have written in advance to the hotels to ask them for a queen bed rather than two beds pushed together. Otherwise there is a hole between us and the beds get separated during the night. I also emphasize that the hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, or that my son is not disturbed by the music from the entertainment program while he sleeps.
The best accommodation for families with children seems to be the Orea hotels chain, where they are prepared for small visitors. Another place is, for example, Aqua palace hotel Prague.
I often look for private accommodation, either through booking or airbnb. As I wrote above, it’s important to read the comments, look at the photos carefully, and it’s good to look at a map to see if there’s a train going by or if the accommodation is located at a busy intersection.
