The airport has three terminals:
Terminal 1 (T1) is for non-Schengen passengers (Bulgaria, UK, Ireland, Romania, Cyprus, USA, all of Asia, etc.). After disembarking from the plane, you will go through passport control and then proceed to baggage claim. If you are travelling with a stroller, it will be waiting for you directly at the aircraft or more often at the oversized baggage claim upon arrival. Usually airlines decide where they leave your stroller. It is necessary to have in your mind that after getting off the plane you will be carrying a child who cannot yet walks in your arms for quite a long time. Sometimes you will get off directly into the airport hall, sometimes there will be an airport shuttle bus waiting to take you to the airport hall. Then you will have to go through passport control, after which you will proceed to baggage claim. Prague airport offers a free stroller for hire, it is more of a wheelchair and not suitable for children who do not sit up. In my experience it´s always unavailable. Therefore, I recomend to get a backpack that you carry on your back and that allows you to have your hands free to handle your child. If you really want to travel light, take the baby in a carrier. Terminal 2 (T2) is for passengers traveling from/to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. If you are travelling with a stroller, it will be waiting for you upon arrival directly at the aircraft or more often at the oversized baggage claim. This is located on the right side just at the beginning of the baggage claim hall. It is up to the individual airline to decide where the trolley can be collected. You should expect to carry a child who cannot yet walks in your arms for quite a long time after getting off the plane. Sometimes you will disembark directly in the airport hall, sometimes there will be an airport shuttle bus waiting to take you to the airport hall. You will then proceed to baggage claim. The airport offers a free stroller rental option, it’s more of a wheelchair which is not suitable for children who don’t sit up. In my experience they are often not available. Terminal 3 (T3) is for private flights.
If you are travelling to the Czech Republic and don’t want to take too many things with you, you can use the services of teddyrental.cz . In my experience, many rental companies offer car seats in disastrous condition that will not protect child in case of a crash.
Transport from airport
After you leave the airport hall, you can use the bus that stops right in front of the airport hall. The bus will take you to the metro or tram station, which runs regularly and very frequently to the centre of Prague. You can also rent a car or use the taxi. Uber or Bolt also operate in the Czech Republic. To make travelling easier, you can use our services and order a baby seat, stroller, toy or a children’s scooter.
